Club President Dawn McPhetridge began with the pledge then everyone read the Toastmaster Club Mission Statement. Word of the day was 'opsimath', a person who learns late in life. Dawn introduced Toastmaster Karissa Bradshaw O'Shields.

Brandi and josh each gave an Ice Breaker speech. Edna ended her evaluation of Brandi's speech with glassy eyes, saying, "You inspired me!" Shemika gave an equally impressive evaluation of Josh's speech.

The club meets for just 40 minutes, therefore the balance of the meeting was reserved for announcements and comments by Area Governor Brenda Perry and District Governor Ben Cox.

The event ended on a high note when everyone bunched together in one corner of the room while a person from outside the door came in and took a few photos of the group.

Overall, it was one of the more enjoyable meetings I've attended.
