It happened with style!! The 2014 District 16 Spring Conference "Shine Out Loud" was held May 2nd & 3rd at the Wyndham Hotel in Tulsa, OK. There were 202 registrants, of which 56 were First Timers!! This was one of the largest conferences, if not the largest, for District 16. The Silent Auction, held to help pay for the travel costs and education session audio/video setups for our speakers, raised $1646. Thanks to everyone that supported the auction; both the donors and bidders.

7 new Distinguished Toastmasters (DTMs) were awarded their medallions: Our speakers / trainers: Todd Huston, Jim Key, Heath Suddleson, Jessica Schroeder, and Dave Ross were fantastically and inspiringly awesome. How is that for a set of descriptive words. We heard nothing but compliments for all of them.
Last, but not least, the incoming District 16 Officers for 2014-2015: I cannot thank Michaela Zuber and the Conference Committee enough for allowing me to serve as Public Relations Chairperson for the 2014 District 16 Spring Conference! I learned so much and got to work with an awesome group of people. Each and every chairperson, each and every committee member, and each and every volunteer helper was essential to make this conference happen. It is not a one person job, but one person headed up the conference Michaela Zuber one incredible lady! You might liken it to the conductor of a orchestra & each person had their part to play, but it took the conductor to turn the bits into a symphony.
