Alice Corley Passed Away on May 1, 2014

Distinguished Toastmaster Alice Corley passed ton May 1, 2014, after 12 successful years of Toastmasters Membership. Details on the arrangements are not yet available.

Alice joined Toastmasters in October of 2002. She is a member of Conoma Toastmasters Club (#454), Uptown Toastmasters Club (#627), OKC PROS Toastmasters Club (#3220), and OKC Bi-Lingual Toastmasters Club (#9637).

Alice received her first Toastmasters award the Competent Toastmasters Award (CTM) on September 1, 2003. She continued in the educational program and became a Distinguished Toastmaster on September 14, 2010. Alice received the Dedicated Toastmaster award for the 2010-2011 year. On December 30, 2013, she was District Governor Ben Cox's Toastmaster of the Day.

Alice was always gracious and kind. Always lending a hand and helping members of the District to achieve their full potential. For the many years she has been an active mentor to multiple new and existing members of the district. Last year (2012-2013) she served as an Assistant to the LGM and this year (2013-2014) as an Assistant to the LGET.

Alice has always been a willing volunteer to help with Club, Area, Division and District events. This included speech contests, Toastmasters Leadership Institutes (TLIs) and Conferences. She was schedule to help in a few days in multiple positions with the D16 Spring Conference. Alice has helped with the DEC meetings demonstration meetings, anything and everything Toastmasters associated.

Every time you turned around Alice was there with a helping hand, a kind word and a beautiful smile. She had a way about her that just made you feel welcomed and happy to be in her presence.

Please keep Alice in your prayers that she may have everlasting peace. Pray for her family to help them find the strength needed in their bereavement.
