Roger Storer was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June 2011 and given a prognosis of 6 months to live. Since that time, he has been focused on living each day with an attitude of gratitude. He wrote two short topic books. One is "Infants of Unity-I.O.U." about the lessons children unwittingly teach us. The other is "Thank You, Cancer-I.O.U." about the lessons adversity unwittingly teaches us to live a happy and full life.xx In the prologue of the book "Thank You, Cancer-I.O.U." Roger writes: "On June 5, 2011, which happened to be my 62nd birthday, I was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 prostate cancer and told I had six months to live.

This was the beginning of a fascinating and surprisingly positive journey that I have taken since receiving that medically dire, and clearly inaccurate, prognosis. By the way of this book, I have attempted to chronicle 15 strong emotions that have become augmented within my being as I took the journey from fear to gratitude, making stops at faith, joy, and love along the way. It is my hope that by focusing on these emotions, this small book written with a big heart, will serve as an inspiration to others facing adversity, irrespective of the source of that adversity. For those heightened emotions and the lessons they unwittingly teach us to create a more beautiful life, I say "Thank You, Cancer- I.O.U." - Roger Storer"
